How did you get the idea to set up a resort in Suriname?
Amazonica Bungalows is our 1st project in Suriname. Because of the possibility to buy 6 bungalows next to our house and a piece of land next to it, we came up with the idea to open a resort.

Tell a little in brief about your other businesses?

Lotus Accountancy & Taxation:
We established this company in 2000. We take care of the complete administration including financial as well as salary administration for entrepreneurs. In addition, we give and provide advice in all tax matters and do the returns for both entrepreneurs and individuals. In 2016 we also established an office in Suriname.
This is our 2nd project in Suriname.

Innovation International N.V. :
This is our 3rd project in Suriname. The core business of Innovation International N.V. will be to operate a wholesale pool attributes and tiles business. We have a contract with the largest swimming pool specialist in Turkey, Atlaspool, for whom we are the sole agent in Suriname, The Guianas and the entire Caribbean.

How do you feel about Amazonica?
Proud, that we were able to create something like this and that we can also contribute to the society of Suriname through job creation and giving both swimming and diving lessons.

What do you want to achieve in the future with Amazonica?
That it becomes a reputable bungalow park and an eye catcher for tourists.
